Really? Only four? I'll fix that!

I read this article today which kind of got me thinking.  Watch out....when I get to thinking, crazy things usually happen!  On a side note, my hubs usually knows that something major is going to happen when I say, "I've been thinking and....."

Well, sorry to break it to you, but nothing major is going to happen.  I just thought I would throw my opinion out there!

This article talks about the only 4 exercises that we really need, the strength moves you can do anytime, anywhere, at any fitness level.  They are....

1. Chair dips which tone your triceps and core.
2. Push-ups which are fabulous for your chest, shoulders, triceps, back, hips and abs.
3. Squats for those glutes, hamstrings and quads.
4. Planks for toning your abs, back, chest, forearms and shoulders.

But do you really think that these are the only, I mean really, the ONLY four exercises we need?  From a group fitness instructors perspective, they are pretty spot on. They do really hit all the "parts" without having to use any equipment.  But could you imagine if you came to my class and we did dips, push-ups, squats and planks for an hour?  You'd be so mad at me that I didn't throw burpees in there!

So, I'd like to add some exercises onto this list, to make it an even 10.  Because variety is the spice of life you know!

Here we go!

5. Burpees because they make people (me) want to throw up.
6. Walking lunges because is there really any other way to get from point a to point b?
7. Tuck jumps because they are hard and almost always make you (me) pee your (my) pants.
8. Donkey kicks because donkey kicks is just fun to say.
9. Standing mountain climbers because they prepare you for real life adventures.
10. Gorilla crawls because you've never felt your quads burn like that in your entire life.

So there you have it....the best 10 exercises for your life.

Do them!

All!
