New Program....totally not what I'd normally do!

I've started a new training program of sorts.  It's called Country Heat.  It's a line dancing inspired program.

Dancing is not my thing.  I dance when I'm out with the girls.  Or when I'm at a wedding.  Both include drinking.  Let's just be honest here!  I'm not good at dancing.  I don't pretend to be.  I have two left feet for sure!

So why in the world would I choose a dance program for my next "training cycle" you ask?  I needed a break from working out.  Yep, I said it, needed a break!  I'm usually doing something very high intense, very crazy, very much taxing on my body.  And this Country Heat program is advertised as "fun, low impact, not like exercise at all" (I've heard this before, it's NEVER true!).  But, I'm giving it a shot.

I'm one week in and all is well.  I'm pretty sure I've gained at least 25 new dancing moves.  Watch out folks for the next girls night....I'll be ready to kick up my heels!

I'm liking it so much that I've decided that I will write about my experiences with it!

This morning at 4:30am I rolled out of bed, put the DVD into the player and hit play on Down and Dirty.  It was 27 minutes of easy to follow movements.  I was half asleep and could still keep up.  Do two moves, put them together, move onto the next moves.  You never put them all together at the end for one big dance.  At first I thought this was weird, but I really like it.  You don't have to remember a ton of moves, just two and then you say goodbye to them.  I like it, because my memory is shot after three kiddos have sucked it dry!

I'm also following the eating plan that came with the program.  It's the 21 Day Fix eating plan and it's the best eating plan I've found, hands down.  It's easy to follow, does not restrict your eating to just a few food groups and allows you to have chocolate and wine....sign me up!  I head to Florida in three weeks for a girls trip (insert new dance moves for this trip!) and want to be feeling and looking my best. This program and the eating plan will help me get there!

Stay tuned for more Country Heat updates!!!
